Job Summary

Operate and maintain dump trucks to transport loose materials (e.g., sand, gravel, dirt, debris) between construction sites, quarries, landfills, and other locations. Ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery while adhering to company policies and traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving & Transport: Safely operate dump trucks to load, unload, and transport materials; follow designated routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, fluids, lights, etc.); report mechanical issues promptly; complete basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Loading/Unloading: Coordinate with loading personnel to ensure proper weight distribution and secure loading; operate hydraulic lifting mechanisms to unload materials safely at designated areas.
• Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies; maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and cargo.
• Safety: Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries; wear required personal protective equipment (PPE); report any incidents or hazards immediately.
• Other Duties: Assist with site cleanup or minor construction tasks as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience as a dump truck driver or similar role; knowledge of heavy vehicle operation and safety procedures.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or relevant local driving license for heavy vehicles; clean driving record.
• Skills: Good physical condition (ability to climb, lift, and work in various weather conditions); strong communication and time-management skills; ability to read maps and follow directions.
• Additional: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics; ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.
