IT Development Engineer / Japanese Speaker (Makati)

Salary Range: PHP 40,000 – 100,000 (based on experience)

The IT Development Engineer will be responsible for system design, programming, testing, and maintenance while collaborating closely with internal teams and clients. The role requires Japanese language proficiency for requirement discussions, documentation, and communication with Japanese stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design & Requirements Definition

• Conduct discussions with clients and users to gather and define system requirements.
• Create system architecture, specifications, and functional design documents.
• Plan development workflow and timelines.

2. Programming & Software Development

• Develop applications using languages such as Java, Python, C++, Ruby, etc.
• Design and implement efficient algorithms.
• Optimize code to improve performance and scalability.

3. System Testing & Debugging

• Perform unit and integration testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs and errors.
• Ensure stable and reliable system performance.

4. System Operation & Maintenance

• Monitor live systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Respond to issues and implement quick fixes or patches.
• Perform system upgrades to improve security and functionality.

5. Team Collaboration

• Work with design, operations, and QA teams throughout development cycles.
• Utilize Agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban).
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and client use.

6. Technology Research

• Evaluate new technologies, tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Test emerging technologies for potential adoption in projects.

7. Client Communication

• Provide progress updates and discuss requirement changes with clients.
• Assist in providing system usage guidance and training when needed.

Qualifications (Must-Have)

• Japanese Language Proficiency: JLPT N2 level or higher (spoken & written)
• Programming Experience: Skilled in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby, C++, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Database knowledge (SQL or equivalent)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
