Description

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
  • Handle billing and insurance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

    • Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program (preferred).
  • Certification (such as CDA or RDA) may be required depending on state regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in dental software and record-keeping.
  • CPR certification (often required).
