Main tasks:
Review medical records – Read doctors’ notes, lab results, and treatment records carefully.
Assign ICD codes – Translate diagnoses, procedures, and treatments into standard ICD codes.
Ensure accuracy – Make sure codes match the patient’s medical record to avoid billing errors.
Compliance check – Follow ICD guidelines, data privacy rules, and insurance requirements.
Clarification and research – Sometimes contact doctors or staff if the records are unclear.
Reporting and analytics support – Codes are used for hospital stats, insurance claims, and research.
Qualification:
Medical Graduates
Medical Undergrad - 3rd year
