What you will do

Data Collection and Preparation: Support the collection, cleaning, transformation, and organization of data from various sources to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis and reporting.

Data Pipeline Support: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining internal data pipelines to enable smooth, reliable, and automated data flow.

Pipeline Monitoring and Continuity: Monitor scheduled data pipelines and provide continuity support during the absence of the Senior Data Analyst to help ensure uninterrupted data operations.

Team Support and Development: Support the Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst in completing data-related activities while progressively taking ownership of independent tasks to strengthen technical capabilities and provide workload coverage.

Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Conduct routine data validation and quality assurance checks to identify missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or unusual data before it is used for analysis and reporting.

Issue Investigation: Assist in investigating data anomalies and basic pipeline issues, applying appropriate corrections or escalating concerns when necessary.

Data Documentation: Help create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, field definitions, data sources, report logic, and processes to ensure the clarity and maintainability of data assets.

Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis and prepare basic statistical summaries based on business needs.

Dashboards and Reporting: Assist in building, updating, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that clearly communicate business performance and insights.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, automation, and existing data processes.

A Junior Data Analyst strives to provide accurate, organized, and reliable data that supports informed business decisions. By assisting with data preparation, pipeline monitoring, quality assurance, documentation, and dashboard maintenance, the Junior Data Analyst helps ensure the continuity and reliability of the organization’s data operations.

Through continuous learning, collaboration, and progressive ownership of technical responsibilities, the Junior Data Analyst develops the capabilities needed to independently handle data-related tasks and contribute meaningful insights to the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, and other business teams to understand data requirements and deliver accurate reports and insights.

Data Accuracy and Reliability: Perform careful validation and quality checks to ensure that reports and dashboards are based on complete, consistent, and dependable data.

Technical Development: Continuously strengthen technical skills in data preparation, SQL, data pipelines, reporting tools, and analytical methods.

Technology Awareness: Stay informed about emerging data tools, analytics practices, automation techniques, and industry developments.

Compliance and Security: Handle company and customer data responsibly and comply with eTap’s data privacy, safety, security, and information security policies.

Other Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned while supporting team objectives and organizational goals.

Why You

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internships, academic projects, or technical training are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of collecting, cleaning, transforming, and organizing data.
• Familiarity with SQL, including basic queries, filtering, joins, and aggregations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including commonly used formulas and data-processing functions.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or another data visualization and reporting tool.
• Basic understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, or automated data workflows is an advantage.
• Exposure to Python, R, or another data analysis language is an advantage.
• Understanding of data validation, quality assurance, and anomaly identification.
• Ability to perform exploratory data analysis and prepare basic statistical summaries.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain clear data and process documentation.
• Willingness to learn, accept guidance, and progressively handle tasks independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
