Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Import Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating import shipments, preparing trade documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and communicating with local and international clients, suppliers, and logistics partners to facilitate the timely and efficient movement of cargo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate import shipments via sea and air freight.
  • Prepare, review, and verify import and trade documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with overseas clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses, and transportation providers.
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of customs clearance documents.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and ensure compliance with Philippine customs regulations and import requirements.
  • Monitor duties, taxes, and other import-related charges.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare reports as required.
  • Support process improvements and assist with the implementation of operational systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Customs Administration or a related field.
  • Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience in import/export operations, logistics, freight forwarding, or trade administration is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Philippine customs procedures, tariffs, and import/export regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hardworking, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
