Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and submit customs declarations and necessary documentation for import and export shipments in accordance with Philippine Bureau of Customs regulations
2. Act as the authorised signatory for customs entries and other regulatory documents, taking full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all submissions
3. Review and verify all shipping documents, invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin to ensure compliance with customs requirements
4. Liaise with clients, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and government agencies to facilitate timely customs clearance
5. Monitor and track shipment status throughout the customs clearance process, providing regular updates to stakeholders
6. Maintain accurate records of all customs transactions, filings, and correspondence for audit and compliance purposes
7. Identify and resolve customs discrepancies, issues, or delays, implementing corrective actions as needed
8. Stay abreast of changes in customs regulations, tariff classifications, and import/export requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
9. Handle protests, appeals, and disputes with customs authorities when necessary
10. Collaborate with the team to optimise processes and improve clearance timelines

What we're looking for

1. Valid Philippine Customs Broker licence issued by the Bureau of Customs and the Professional Regulation Commission
2. Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience as a Customs Broker or in a similar customs clearance role
3. Comprehensive knowledge of Philippine customs regulations, tariff codes, and import/export procedures
4. Strong understanding of international trade compliance, including trade agreements and special customs programmes
5. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately process complex documentation
6. Proficient in using customs management systems and relevant software applications
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients and government agencies
8. Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
9. Professional demeanour and commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance
10. Basic proficiency in English and Filipino languages (both written and verbal)
11. Familiarity with Manila's port operations and logistics environment is advantageous
