Description

The Customer Development Specialist is primarily responsible for managing activities with the assigned Accounts/Distributor that will lead to business growth in his/her assigned area of responsibility. He/she ensures the achievement of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) through proper inventory management, brand distribution, and merohandising. He/she monitors and controls the Accounts'/Distributors' performance, and operating expense budget.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and executes the approved annual business plan for his assigned Account.
  • Responsible for growing the business based on targets and making sure that this is aligned to the general corporate sales and marketing strategy.
  • Spearhead negotiations on new Accounts and responsible for the growtri, development and profitability of assigned Accounts (i.e. convenient stores) directly covered by Lamoiyan.
  • Coordinate with Management to secure approval of trade marketing and business development projects and accountable for the implementation, auditing and monitoring of trade marketing and merchandising activities for Accounts.
  • Negotiates and coordinates with the Accounts into achieving consistent and sustainable business growth through customer and trade development efforts such as: in-store promotions, trade marketing and other programs and activities.
  • Establish and maintain excellent rapport with owners, buyers and managers of all accounts to ensure good sales and implementation of programs.
  • Monitor and ensures proper trade inventory management by monitoring stock availability and replenishment from the factory, to the wholesalers and retailers. Including deliveries, orders, trade rctums and collections.
  • Implements the prescribed trade inventory management system of the company, and negotiates and sets the agl.eed stocking level (ASL) with the company's trade partners.
  • Ensure product availability and visibility through proper merchandising task execution. Develop route to market tor new and current products and execute approved trade deals of assigned accounts/distributors.
  • Directs his Accounts to achieve their volume targets consistently and ensure a smooth flow of transactions through balanced sales inflow on a week-to-week basis; where weekly sales volume transactions are between 25% to 30% of the total month's volume or as per a plan.
  • Prepares a performance appraisal of his assigned Account, and identifies areas of opportunities for improvement and business building. Prepares an action plan and implements the same to tap such opportunities.
  • Conducts a monthly business review with his/her Account, and updates them on new directions. Submits a copy of the minutes of the meeting, summarizing action steps and agreements.
  • Promotes and upholds the company's mission, vision, and core values at all times, bearing in mind that these are the bases of business decisions involving the company.

Requirements

  • Graduate of BS Marketing or Business Management course,
  • with at least 3 to 5 yrs work experience in sales particularly for fast moving consumer products
