Job Summary:
The Credit Policy and Analytics Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Company's credit and other credit related policies, underwriting standards, and portfolio analytics framework. The role provides data-driven insights into portfolio performance, monitors emerging credit risks, evaluates the effectiveness of underwriting strategies, and recommends policy enhancements that support sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining the Company's risk appetite.
The incumbent serves as the primary liaison between Risk Management, Credit Operations, Credit Assessment, Collections, and Technology in matters relating to credit policy, portfolio performance, andcredit strategy Cross-functional Coordination: Works closely with Sales team, Credit Operations, Credit Assessment, Customer Experience, Collections and Asset Recovery, Finance, Legal and Compliance, and I.T.
Responsibilities:
Credit Policy and Strategy Management
• Develop, maintain, and periodically review the Company''''s Credit Policy and related underwriting standards.
• Recommend revisions to credit policies based on portfolio performance, market conditions, regulatory developments, and business strategy.
• Ensure alignment of credit policies with the Company''''s Risk Appetite Statement and Credit Risk Management Framework.
• Manage policy exceptions and recommend appropriate governance controls.
• Support the development and implementation of new lending products and credit programs.
• Provide ad-hoc risk advisory and support to any task or duty assigned by the management.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of underwriting rules, scorecards, and approval strategies.
• Assess the impact of policy changes on approval rates, portfolio quality, and profitability.
• Support champion-challenger testing and strategy optimization.
• Recommend enhancements to credit decision rules based on portfolio analytics.
Portfolio Analytics
• Monitor portfolio performance across all lending products.
• Conduct vintage, cohort, roll rate, flow rate, and delinquency analyses.
• Identify emerging portfolio risks and recommend mitigating actions.
• Analyze portfolio trends by customer segment, product, channel, geography, and score band.
• Produce regular portfolio risk reports and management dashboards.
• Develop portfolio dashboards and management reports.
• Perform data extraction and analysis using SQL and business intelligence tools.
• Develop automated reports and dashboards.
• Work closely with Technology and Data teams to improve data availability and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of portfolio data.
• Present portfolio performance and risk insights to Senior Management, Risk Committees, and the Board as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Statistics, or Math gained in a reputable college/university.
• MBA / Master’s degree / Credit Risk related certifications e.g. FRM, PRM, CRA, CRM is preferred.
• With at least 7 years relevant work experience in Consumer and/or SME Lending gained in a bank or a financial institution with focus on Credit Policy, Portfolio Analytics, and Credit Risk Management.
• Previous people management or project leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience in digital lending and/or scorecard-driven underwriting is an advantage.
• Must have extensive familiarity with consumer lending’s full credit life cycle from loan origination to collection and recovery,
• Must have experience and knowledge of BASEL III/IV and IFRS9 requirements.
• Ability to translate complex data and economic shifts into actionable lending policies that balance growth with risk appetite.
• Excellent professional writing skills with a proven ability to draft formal governance documents, standard operating procedures, and technical policy frameworks.
• Strong communication skills that foster harmonious collaboration with other business units.
• Ability to explain technical risk outcomes and policy changes to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation:
• Starting basic salary – Php 220,000 (negotiable)
• Rice Allowance – Php 1,500.00/month
• Transportation Allowance – Php 150.00/working day
