About the role

As a Cost Engineer Mechanical at PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc.', you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our mechanical engineering projects. Based in our office in Ortigas Pasig City Metro Manila, this full-time position requires extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and a keen eye for cost optimization.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for mechanical engineering projects
• Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure they align with the established budget
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce expenses
• Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient resource utilization
• Preparing detailed cost reports and presenting findings to senior management
• Providing technical advice and support to the project team on cost-related matters
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering costing

What we're looking for

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Cost Engineer or in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry
• Proficient in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, construction methods, and industry regulations
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Proficient in using cost estimation software and project management tools
• Amenable to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Monday to Friday)
