Description

Duties and Responsibilities:


SERVICE PRODUCT COSTING & PRICING / BUDGET-RELATED WORKS

  • Calculate and establish standard costs and update them as necessary based on changes in actual circumstances.
  • Based on such standard costing, develop a pricing model to support / assist the management in business dealings with company affiliates and other decision-making processes.
  • Assist in budget preparation as well as monitoring on budget deviations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Scrutinize CAPEX data, including assumptions on payback period / IRR information.


COST ANALYSIS & CONTROL

  • Analyze actual cost reports and prepare periodic reports comparing standard/budgeted cost vs. actual cost.
  • Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and establish the reasons for variances.
  • Recommend cost-effective solutions and improvements.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed cost accounting records for decision-makers’ disposition.
  • Provide assistance in development, improvement, and maintenance of internal controls related to cost accounting such as compliance with existing polices and regulatory requirements.


INVENTORY / OPERATING ASSET MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain and control inventory/asset account including periodic physical counts and reconciling differences.


COLLABORATION AND SUPPORT

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Purchasing, etc. to ensure cost accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Provide support for month-end and year-end financial closing processes. 


CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cost accounting.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost management and accounting.

Requirements

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy
  • With at least 2 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or financial planning
  • With basic knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
  • With basic knowledge of tax accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and has experience in SAP
