- Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs
- Developing and analyzing cost standards
- Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) ANALYSIS
- Performing account reconciliations
- Prepared audit reports and presenting their findings to management
- Recommended changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
- Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
- Managing the company's balance sheet and accounting books
- Supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure
- Review standard actual costs for inaccuries
- Prepare Budgeting reports (for the company and each department)
- Analyze and report profit margins
- Prepare (monthly , quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Performs other duties as may be assigned
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any related field
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Proven work experience as cost accountant, cost analyst, accountant, or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- In depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with pivot tables)
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- With an ability to handle confidential information
