Description

Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
Source and present relevant news stories to the Managing Editor for approval, following a detailed analysis of press releases, competitor websites, and official government sources.
Write and publish news stories daily adhering to strict publishing schedules and following journalism ethics and best practices.
Prepare and publish a daily email for our newsletter.
Occasionally reach out to individuals for comment on news stories.
Write and publish various types of content and copy for our clients and our company’s web pages, including articles, ebooks, podcast and video scripts, and social media posts.
Produce marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics, doing research for blog ideas, and promoting our content on social media.
Ensure contents written reach our targets such as target audience, social shares, time on page, bounce rate, scroll depth, CTR, conversion rate, social shares, traffic, and search engine rankings
Prepare a daily coverage report for the Managing Editor, outlining the day's plan, sponsor outreach targets, subscriber email details, new content ready to be published, and social media posts.
Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
Assisting in developing content for advertising campaigns.
Ensure all content is error-free and optimized.
Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content.
Partner with the SEO team to keyword optimise our content without impacting readability
Research channel specific writing techniques, in order to adapt your writing style to various channels.
Develop engaging, channel appropriate marketing copy that will raise brand awareness and generate leads.
Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Google Bard, Jasper, etc. for various tasks.
Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
