Responsibilities
- Observes work area constantly for unsafe conditions
- Warns and stops work if a hazard is spotted
- Ensures workers use correct PPE and safety procedures
- Communicates with the supervisors about risks
- Documents incidents or near-misses
- Supports risk assessments and safety briefings before work starts
