Job Description

A Precast Engineer oversees the engineering and technical aspects of precast concrete manufacturing and installation. The role includes preparing shop drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, monitoring production processes, and providing technical support during transportation and erection of precast elements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering and Design

• Prepare and review precast concrete shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Develop detailed reinforcement and connection details.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and consultants to ensure design compliance.
• Verify calculations for precast structural components.
• Review design changes and implement necessary revisions.

Production Support

• Coordinate with the production team to ensure precast elements are manufactured according to approved drawings.
• Monitor production schedules and provide technical guidance during fabrication.
• Resolve engineering and technical issues encountered during manufacturing.
• Ensure efficient use of materials and production resources.

Quality Control

• Ensure all precast products comply with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
• Conduct inspections during production and before delivery.
• Review quality reports and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Project Management

• Monitor project progress and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Ensure engineering activities are completed within project timelines.
• Participate in project meetings and provide engineering updates.
