Description

  • Oversee the entire commissary production process from raw material receipt to finished product dispatch.
  • Ensure timely production and delivery of products based on sales forecasts and demand.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by optimizing workflows and managing resources effectively.           
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for raw material procurement while ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent pilferage and waste.
  • Ensure all food production meets the company’s quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor quality control systems for product consistency and adherence to specifications.
  • Address quality issues promptly and liaise with QA teams to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Manage, train, and develop commissary staff to maintain high performance and productivity.
  • Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including proper food handling, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees to minimize risks in the workplace.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and manage the commissary’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all operations.
  • Analyze production costs and recommend strategies to minimize expenses without compromising quality.
  • Prepare reports on financial performance, including labor, materials, and operational costs.
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding production targets, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including sales, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare reports on inventory, production output, staff performance, and safety compliance for management review.


Requirement

  • College Graduate Preferably Licensed Food Technologist
  • 5 years of experience in the Food Industry specifically commissary set-up
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of food safety standards, production processes, and inventory management. 
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, inventory management, and quality assurance practices.
  • A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, or as a team leader
  • Proficient in MS Office Application
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Must have strong mathematical & analytical skills
