CNC Machinist

The duties and responsibilities of a CNC Machine Operator include:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and design models.
• Inputting the design specifications into the CNC machine.
• Setting up and operating the CNC machine and equipment, including calibrating the machine to the task at hand.
• Observing CNC machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions.
• Adjusting machine settings to keep parts within needed tolerances.
• Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the work area and ensuring the machine is cleaned after each use.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
• Reporting any issues to the supervisor so they can be fixed immediately.
