Job Title: Maintenance and Janitorial Staff

Job Summary

The Maintenance and Janitorial Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of the property. The role includes performing routine cleaning, basic maintenance and repair works, and ensuring that common areas, guest rooms, and facilities are kept in excellent condition at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

Janitorial Functions

• Clean and sanitize common areas, hallways, stairways, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collect and properly dispose of garbage and recyclables.
• Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
• Ensure that all areas are clean, organized, and presentable.

Maintenance Functions

• Perform minor repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Report major repairs and equipment issues to the Property Manager or Supervisor.
• Assist contractors and service providers during repair and maintenance activities.
• Ensure that tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies are properly stored and maintained.

General Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance and cleaning requests from tenants, guests, or management.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with guests, tenants, and coworkers.
• Assist in property improvement projects and special cleaning activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one (1) year of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, maintenance, or related work is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and repair works.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
• Honest, dependable, and hardworking.
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules when required.
