Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) according to accounting standards like GAAP or IFRS. 
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations. 
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor spending against them to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. 
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting department staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. 
• Internal Controls: Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and maintain accurate financial records. 
• Auditor Relations: Serve as the main liaison with external auditors, facilitating the audit process and ensuring compliance. 
• Strategic Input: Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making. 
• Cash & Treasury Management: Oversee treasury management, cash flow, and petty cash expenses to ensure optimal placement of funds.
