CCTV Operator

Responsibilities

• Active Surveillance: Continuously watch multiple live and recorded video feeds to detect unauthorized access, suspicious activities, or emergencies.
• Equipment Operation: Use joysticks, keyboards, and mouse controls to pan, tilt, and zoom cameras for clearer identification.
• Incident Response: React to alarms, track suspects, and promptly notify on-ground security teams or local law enforcement.
• Evidence Management: Record, store, label, and export video footage to assist in investigations or legal/court proceedings.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of all observations, incidents, and equipment malfunctions.

• Technical Literacy: Proficiency with computer software, security databases, and surveillance hardware.
• Communication: Clear, concise communication skills to relay vital intelligence to officers or emergency responders.
• Composure: Ability to make quick decisions and remain calm during high-pressure situations or emergencies.
• Confidentiality: High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive visual data.
