Job Summary

Responsible for handling cash transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring accurate daily sales monitoring within the school canteen.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive payments and issue receipts to students, teachers, parents, and staff.
• Operate the cash register or POS system accurately.
• Count and balance cash drawer before and after duty.
• Monitor daily sales and prepare simple sales reports.
• Assist customers with orders and inquiries in a polite manner.
• Coordinate with kitchen and canteen staff regarding orders and availability of items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
• Ensure proper safekeeping of cash and other payment transactions.
• Report discrepancies, shortages, or technical issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Follow school policies, food safety standards, and canteen procedures.
