Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Process customer transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system
Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and provide change as needed
Scan and bag items efficiently and with care
Ensure all items are properly priced and scanned
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
Monitor and report inventory levels (e.g., stocking registers with supplies)
Address customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns and escalate when necessary
Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, or tidying shelves
Follow store policies regarding refunds, exchanges, and returns
Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
Ensure compliance with safety and security policies

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for handling money and processing transactions
Ability to operate a cash register, POS system, and handle cash accurately
Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions
Basic problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
