Job Description

  • Build, install, and repair structures, furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, and other wooden structures.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create or repair structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to determine specifications and requirements for construction projects.
  • Install drywall, windows, doors, flooring, and insulation as needed.
  • Construct frameworks, partitions, and other building components.
  • Ensure the quality of work meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Maintain carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with other construction workers, such as electricians and painters, to ensure timely project completion.
  • Adhere to safety standards and building codes while working on construction sites.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it is safe, level, and structurally sound.
  • Clean and organize work areas at the end of each day to maintain a safe and productive environment.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter (apprenticeship or certification is a plus).
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools (saws, drills, hammers, levels, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with wood, metal, and other materials.
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Good communication skills.
