Cargo Handler

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery Coordination

Schedule and coordinate the delivery of petroleum products to customers, service stations, and business clients.

Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of fuel products based on approved sales orders and delivery schedules.

Monitor delivery status and provide updates to concerned departments and customers.

Transportation Management

Coordinate with tanker truck drivers, transport providers, and warehouse personnel regarding loading and delivery activities.

Ensure that all vehicles used for fuel transportation are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.

Monitor vehicle availability and utilization to maximize operational efficiency.

Documentation and Record Keeping

Prepare, verify, and maintain delivery documents, invoices, delivery receipts, trip tickets, and other logistics-related records.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of documents before and after delivery.

Maintain organized records of deliveries, dispatches, and transportation activities.

Inventory and Product Monitoring

Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding stock availability and product allocation.

Monitor inventory movements and assist in maintaining accurate stock records.

Report discrepancies, shortages, overages, or losses immediately to management.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and government requirements governing the transportation and handling of petroleum products.

Assist in securing and maintaining permits, clearances, and transportation documents as required by regulatory agencies.

Customer Service Support

Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, order status, and logistics concerns.

Address delivery-related issues and coordinate immediate resolutions with the appropriate departments.

Coordination with Internal Departments

Work closely with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, Accounting, and Management to ensure smooth order fulfillment and delivery processes.

Assist in planning logistics activities to meet operational and customer requirements.

Monitoring and Reporting

Track delivery performance and prepare logistics reports as required by management.

Monitor fuel deliveries, transportation costs, and logistics efficiency indicators.

Report incidents, delays, accidents, or operational concerns promptly.

Safety and Security

Ensure adherence to safety procedures in the handling, storage, loading, and transportation of petroleum products.

Assist in implementing company safety programs and emergency response procedures.

Other Duties

Perform other logistics, administrative, and operational duties that may be assigned by management from time to time in support of the company's petroleum distribution activities.

Qualifications and Expectations

Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all company transactions.

Possess strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple delivery schedules.

Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation procedures, and petroleum industry regulations is an advantage.

Willing to travel and conduct fieldwork when required by operational needs.
