Description
This job directly reports to the GMD Division Merchandising Manager and is responsible in ensuring all Business Target KPI’s are met Sales, Selling Profit, Miscellaneous Income and Gross Profit, while maintaining a healthy MOSS with the Replenishment Team.
Creates Strategic Plans and Programs to maximize and drive revenue growth for the company. Negotiates with suppliers in terms of Assortment, Pricing, Stock Availability and other category activities to grow the market.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for his/her category’s strategic plans and programs to ensure all Business KPI’s targets are met.
- Responsible for Trading Term Agreement (TTA) discussion, negotiation details preparation and actual negotiation to deliver MI (Miscellaneous Income) targets.
- Responsible for on time processing of cost changes, price increase and decrease, category pricing optimization and other pricing related matters to ensure competitiveness and hitting selling profit target.
- Mainly responsible in Buying & Sourcing the right assortment on both Local & Imported goods to cater to the customer preference and satisfaction, maintain competitiveness in the market and optimize sales opportunities.
- Creates move out promotions for items with more than the allowed MOSS to ensure healthy inventory level.
- Ensures successful implementation of promotions in terms of execution and sell through.
- Coordinates with Marketing from planning to execution on all events and programs both category and supplier-initiated activities.
- Resolves gaps between inter-department issues and concerns (as needed) with process improvements to reach companywide revenue targets and profit.
- Conducts business review w/ supplier and replenishment team to address category opportunities.
- Ensures 100% usage and roll out of systems provided by the company.
- Monitors the Merchandiser Tracker to ensure merchandiser availability is on track.
- Responsible for making sure that all planned MI on the TTA and SAF are collected accurately and on time as well as those Adhoc negotiations done with suppliers.
- Initiates processing of documents, as assigned.
- Attends and participates in monthly learning circle sessions and must get a score of at least 80% of the post learning evaluation.
- Participates and enrolls in HR conducted Trainings applicable for the position.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Industrial Engineering or related courses
Number of Years of Relevant Work Experience:
- 5 years retail experience in Merchandising or in purchasing
