Description

Responsible for the operation and implementation of plans, programs, policies and orientations to achieve the coop’s goals and objectives. Provides over all supervision of the day to day operation of the Branch Office.

 

REPORTS TO:  Area Manager

SUPERVISES:   ALL THE BRANCH STAFF

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

1.   Membership

 

1.1. Endorses membership application to the Board for approval, through the GM

1.2. Endorses withdrawal of membership to the Board for approval, through the GM

 

2.   Deposits

 

2.1.  Approves the opening and closing of accounts

2.2.  Approves opening and termination of the time deposit accounts

2.3. Approves the reactivation of the dormant account’s signature cards from the vault together with the Cashier

2.4.  Approves the transfer from active to dormant account

2.5. Approves the lifting of the holdout on the account in the system

 

3.   Cash on Hand - Conducts unannounced cash count to the Cashier/Tellers

4.   Cash Advances

 

18.1 Approves the cash advance of staff.

18.2 Approves the liquidation statement

 

19  Petty Cash Fund - Approves petty cash replenishment

20  Teller’s shortage/overage - Approves the shortage and overage report prepared by the Bookkeeper

21  Lost Passbook, Certificate of Time Deposit - Approves the replacement of the lost passbook or Certificate of Time Deposit based on the affidavit of loss submitted by the client-member

22   Acquisition, Maintenance and Disposal of Fixed Assets

 

22.1 Recommends to the GM, the acquisition of Fixed Assets

22.2 Ensures the maintenance of the Fixed Assets of the branch

22.3 Recommends to the GM, the disposal or sale of the Fixed Assets and handles  the bidding of the same

 

23   Sundry Debits and Credits - Reports to the GM and/or EM the action taken on the unlocated errors

24 Occupational Safety and Health - Responsible for the overall safety and security measures

25   Credit and Loan

 

25.1    Approves the loans and credit within his/her authority.

25.2    For loans beyond his/her authority, recommends to the GM, for approval

25.3    Approves release of collateral and cancellation of mortgage

25.4             Initiates foreclosure or other drastic action or recommends to the GM of the long past due obligations for appropriate action

25.5    Monitors targets versus performance

 

26   Foreclosed Assets

 

26.1   Reviews all documents of asset foreclosed and turns over the documents to Bookkeeper/Accountant for safekeeping

26.2   Recommends the sale or redemption of assets acquired

 

 

 

27  Vault and Safe Keeping

 

27.1   Responsible for one of the combinations on the vault and safe

27.2   Respects the internal control procedure

 

28   Reportorial Functions

 

28.1   Renders monthly report for the Area Manager

28.2   Renders monthly report to the EXECOM meeting

28.3   Renders monthly report to BOD, if required

 

29   Other Duties and Responsibilities

 

29.1   Implements the COOP’s TOOL in the satellite office, under the supervision of the General manager and/or Executive Manager

29.2   Leads the satellite office in carrying out the capacity-building program of the coop

29.3   Complies with the PSPs of the Coop

29.4   All other duties and responsibilities that maybe required of him/her from time to time
