Biomedical Technician

Role Description The Biomedical Equipment Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of biomedical and medical equipment in healthcare facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, calibrating devices to manufacturer specifications, and documenting all service activities. The technician will conduct routine inspections, support equipment acceptance testing, and ensure that equipment complies with safety and performance standards. The role also involves collaborating with clinical staff, providing basic user guidance, coordinating with vendors when needed, and following internal procedures to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair for biomedical and medical devices.
• Hands-on experience working with Medical Equipment, including installation, troubleshooting, and performance checks.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety principles and standards applicable to healthcare and laboratory environments.
• Ability to perform precise Calibration of medical and diagnostic equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, device documentation, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to read technical manuals, interpret schematics, and use diagnostic tools and test instruments.
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple service requests and prioritize tasks.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an advantage; relevant professional certifications are beneficial.
• Accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
