JOB TITLE: CAD Drafter

OVERVIEW

The CAD Drafter will be the focal point for all CAD design activities within the Engineering Services department. This role is responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings, including P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), General Arrangement (GA) drawings and Project Specific Fabrication Drawings, to support multiple projects. The CAD Drafter will ensure accuracy, compliance with standards and customer specifications, and timely delivery of design outputs

Education and Qualifications Degree in Engineering.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Develop and maintain P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawings for various engineering projects.

 Interpret engineering specifications and project requirements into accurate CAD designs.

 Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet technical and safety standards.

 Manage and organize CAD files and drawing revisions in accordance with company procedures.

 Act as the primary point of contact for CAD-related queries within the department.

 Support continuous improvement of CAD standards and workflows.

 Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and internal quality standards.

THE CANDIDATE

OVERVIEW

The candidate should have had a successful track record and good CAD Drafting experience in Engineering or distribution type

businesses. He or she must have a good attention to detail, highly adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced working environment

and must be prepared to be hands-on as well as innovation thinking.

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

 Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience.

 Ability to work well with people and be able to multi-task.

 Customer oriented with good communication skills and in fluency in English.

 Proven experience as a CAD Drafter in an engineering or industrial environment.

 Knowledge of 3D modelling tools and plant design software.

 Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc)

 Strong understanding of P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawing conventions.

 Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and specifications.

 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

 Proficient in Microsoft 365 business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc) and ability to learn business systems and other software platforms as required.
