Job Description

Job Summary:

A Battery Test Engineer is responsible for evaluating the performance, safety, and reliability of battery systems through structured testing and analysis. The role focuses on conducting laboratory and field tests to ensure batteries meet quality standards and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute battery testing procedures and protocols
  • Perform performance tests (capacity, cycle life, charge/discharge, efficiency)
  • Conduct safety and environmental tests (thermal, vibration, stress testing)
  • Monitor and record test data using testing equipment and software
  • Analyze test results and identify defects or performance issues
  • Troubleshoot battery failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare detailed test reports and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in battery testing, QA/QC, or laboratory work (preferred)
  • Knowledge of battery chemistries (lithium-ion, lead-acid, etc.)
  • Familiarity with testing tools (multimeters, battery analyzers, data loggers)
  • Understanding of safety and testing standards
