Barista

A Barista is responsible for crafting espresso-based drinks, brewing coffee and tea, handling customer orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment. They play a key role in shaping the customer experience by combining technical beverage preparation with hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages: Brew espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos), teas, and cold beverages.
• Operate coffee equipment: Use espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and milk frothers.
• Customer service: Greet customers, take orders, answer menu questions, and recommend items.
• Food service: Serve pastries, sandwiches, or light meals depending on the establishment.
• Maintain cleanliness: Clean counters, machines, seating areas, and utensils.
• Restock supplies: Ensure availability of coffee beans, syrups, milk, cups, and lids.
• POS operation: Handle cash, card, and mobile transactions.
• Opening/closing duties: Inventory checks, machine cleaning, and café setup.
