The Junior Mechanic assists in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive

maintenance under the supervision of senior staff. The role involves performing basic

mechanical services, supporting inspections, following work orders and safety

procedures, maintaining tools and workshop cleanliness, reporting issues, assisting in

test drives when authorized, and actively developing technical skills through hands-on

work and training.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Assist Senior Mechanics and Technicians in conducting vehicle diagnostics,

repairs, and preventive maintenance services.

● Perform basic mechanical tasks such as oil changes, tire mounting and

balancing, brake servicing, battery installation, filter replacement, and fluid

inspection under supervision.

● Support routine vehicle inspections and help identify potential mechanical or

safety issues for further evaluation.

● Accurately follow work orders, service instructions, and repair guidelines

provided by Senior Mechanics or Supervisors.

● Report unusual findings, damaged components, defective parts, or safety

hazards promptly to Senior Mechanics or Supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● TESDA NC I / NC II in Automotive Servicing or equivalent vocational

certification preferred

● High School Graduate or Senior High School (Automotive or Technical Track is

an advantage)

● 1- 2 years of experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or workshop

assistance
