Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Service Adviser to join our auto shop team. The Service Adviser serves as the main point of contact between customers and technicians, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth vehicle repair operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple service requests efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess vehicle concerns or service needs
• Prepare repair orders and service estimates
• Explain recommended repairs, maintenance, and costs to customers
• Coordinate with technicians regarding diagnostics and repair progress
• Provide regular updates to customers about vehicle status
• Schedule appointments and manage workflow
• Process invoices and payments
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Upsell preventive maintenance services when appropriate
• Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints professionally

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Automotive-related course is a plus)
• Previous experience as a Service Adviser, Service Consultant, or similar role preferred
• Basic to advanced automotive knowledge
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Computer literacy and familiarity with shop management software
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license preferred
