Auto Technician Job Description

An Auto Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are safe and operating properly.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Conduct routine maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotation, brake inspection, and tune-ups.
  • Repair or replace broken or defective vehicle parts.
  • Use diagnostic tools and computerized equipment to identify vehicle problems.
  • Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical repairs.
  • Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain records of repairs, services, and parts used.
  • Follow safety procedures and company standards during all repair activities.
  • Explain vehicle problems and repairs to supervisors or customers when necessary.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized.
  • He have experience in window tinting, polish, car fil protection

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or vocational course in Automotive Technology.
  • Proven experience as an Auto Technician or Auto Mechanic.
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and repair procedures.
  • Ability to use automotive repair tools and equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment.
  • TESDA certification or equivalent is an advantage.
