As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Associate Cloud Systems Engineer (IC1-G4) to join our Systems Operations Private Cloud team based in Manila, Philippines.

The successful individual will join the Global team currently spread across Europe & North America in the implementation and support of Cloud Services for external customers.

Performing as a member of the cloud hosting team to support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, recovery, modification, and upgrading of Continent 8 Cloud platforms and components to provide services that enable the systems to be highly available.



• Administration of physical and virtual infrastructure consisting of various server and storage hardware vendors and hypervisors including VMware, AWS and Azure
• Building, releasing, and managing the configuration of all production systems.
• Managing a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
• Working alongside architecture and engineering teams to support production systems
• Ensuring necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions
• Staying current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
• Deploying continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
• Maintenance and continuous improvement cycles
• Troubleshooting the system when customers log support tickets
• Technical documentation and KB upkeep
• 1st line of support of customers, Hot-seat Support
• Supporting environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3
• Record time in support desk

• 3years Virtualization support (VMware preferable)
• 2 years Hardware support including enterprise server and storage
• 3 years + leveraging AWS, Azure or GCP platform services in a hands-on capacity
• Experience triaging, troubleshooting, and actioning tickets through to resolution
• Excellent customer service and ability to communicate in a professional manner
• 1-3 years MS or Linux support
• Good scripting capability (Ansible, PowerShell, bash or Terraform)
• Experience in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration
• Has intimate knowledge of tools and mechanisms for distributing new or upgraded software, as they become available.
• Ability to do technical documentation
• Should have core skills in AWS services and expertise that will enable him/her to move into a more specialized team
• Experience working and accessing systems remotely
