About the role

The Regional Sales Manager oversees territory sales and personnel. The main goal is to meet or exceed projected sales targets by using information available such as past sales and future total sales goals. The Regional Sales Manager creates a working sales strategy and monitors that all sales members are following it.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed projected sales targets
• Create a working sales strategy
• Monitor that all sales members are following the sales strategy
• Lead the entire sales force under the territory
• Recruit and screen sales professionals
• Provide orientation and training to hired sales professionals
• Continuously oversee sales professionals to ensure they are meeting sales targets
• Conduct staff performance reviews
• Discuss and offer strategies for employee improvement
• Recognize and reward subordinates for their efforts and accomplishments
