Job Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the overall operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability across all operational functions. This role manages production, project implementation, installation, logistics, warehousing, procurement coordination, and manpower utilization while ensuring that company objectives, client requirements, and operational standards are consistently achieved.

The Operations Manager works closely with Management, Sales, Engineering, and other support departments to develop and implement strategies that improve operational performance, optimize resources, and support the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day operations, including production, installation, logistics, warehousing, and project execution.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, policies, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor operational performance and ensure that projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper utilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and other company resources.

Project and Installation Management

  • Oversee project implementation from planning to turnover.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Site Teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review project schedules, manpower requirements, delivery plans, and installation timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections and operational audits to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Resolve operational and project-related issues to minimize delays and disruptions.

Production and Logistics Oversight

  • Monitor production schedules and output to ensure timely completion of manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between production, warehousing, delivery, and installation teams.
  • Review delivery schedules and routing plans to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory movement and material availability to support operational requirements.

Leadership and People Management

  • Lead, supervise, and develop operational personnel and department heads.
  • Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, discipline, and a positive work environment.
  • Participate in manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and workplace regulations.

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for operational concerns and critical client issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and project teams when necessary.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely project delivery and quality service.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operational reports, performance metrics, and KPI summaries.
  • Monitor operational costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support Management in strategic planning and operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within Office and Kitchen Furniture Manufacturing, Construction, Fit-Out, Project Management, or Installation Operations.
  • Strong background in project execution, operations management, production planning, logistics, and manpower supervision.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings, and project layouts.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams and operational functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting.
  • Willing to conduct site visits and oversee multiple projects when required.
