The POS Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and related equipment. The role includes conducting hardware and software checks, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all POS devices are functioning properly to support daily business operations.

  • Diagnose and repair POS machines, printers, scanners, cash drawers, and related peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and test POS hardware and software.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine system inspections.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues reported by clients or internal teams.
  • Replace defective parts and ensure proper system functionality after repair.
  • Maintain records of repairs, replacements, and technical services performed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers or service providers for parts replacement when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and basic user guidance to clients or staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and service standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or any related course.
  • With experience in POS repair, computer hardware troubleshooting, or technical support is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in hardware diagnostics, networking, and software installation.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash registers is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to do fieldwork and travel when necessary.
  • Can work under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
