Job Description

Installing and troubleshooting Ref and AC systems.

Description

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration systems, and other cold equipment.
  • Perform planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance regularly and publish reports on the results.
  • Maintain records on the condition of the air conditioning and refrigeration systems regularly.
  • Executing quality checks to ensure that systems are operating securely and correctly.
  • Examine and resolve mistakes in the equipment.
  • Repairs malfunctioning air conditioning and refrigeration systems as well as other electronic devices including gas stoves, dryers, and washing machines.
  • Survey buildings where air-conditioning systems are fitted or to be fitted and make recommendations.
  • Produce estimates and quotes for work.
  • Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment. 
  • Assists in verifying refrigeration, air-conditioning units, washing machines, dryers, gas cookers, and spares purchased/supplied.

Requirement

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as a RAC Technician.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification and a valid certificate as an RAC Technician from an accredited institution are preferred.
