A Distributor Specialist manages, supports, and grows relationships with third-party distributors to ensure optimal product distribution, sales, and market coverage. They monitor sales performance, ensure visibility in distributor covered stores, merchandising materials deployment, implement marketing initiatives, coordinate deliveries, and ensure compliance with company standards to drive growth

2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong partnerships with distributor teams.
• Sales Growth: Developing territory sales strategies, monitoring, and improving sales performance (sell-in/sell-out).
• Operational Support: Coordinating logistics, inventory, and deliveries to ensure timely product availability.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as market and customer coverage, sales, and merchandising execution, service level. Monitors competitors’ activities.
• Strategic Planning: Implementing promotional programs and conducting business reviews with partners.

3.0 SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE JOB

• Experience in sales, account management, or distribution, often 2+ year
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, often in the field for long hours.
• Basic math skills for handling inventory and sales numbers

4.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT

• A field-based,, active sales role, often involving travel within a specific, assigned coverage.
• It requires frequent, in-person visits to retail and wholesale customers.
