ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE OFFICER



Job description:

An Accounting Accounts Receivable (AR) Officer is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring customer accounts, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. The role supports the company’s cash flow and financial stability by handling billing, collections, reconciliation, and customer account inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and issue invoices to customers or clients

Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments

Follow up on outstanding balances through calls, emails, or letters

Record and reconcile incoming payments

Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and documentation

Resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues

Generate AR aging reports and collection summaries

Coordinate with sales and finance departments regarding customer accounts

Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Qualifications Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience in a distribution, trading, or manufacturing is a plus.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Pinnacle, Oracle, Odoo or similar ERP systems)

Strong attention to detail and good analytical and reconciliation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or general accounting
