Job Summary

Accounting administrators manage financial records, oversee daily transactions, and support the finance team to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting administrators handle a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including:

  • Maintaining financial records: Tracking daily transactions, invoices, income, and expenses to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
  • Accounts payable and receivable management: Processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments, creating client invoices, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Financial reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, or annual reports, assisting with budget planning, and supporting internal audits.
  • Payroll and expense processing: Verifying employee hours, processing payroll, and handling expense reports.
  • Bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance: Posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.
  • Coordination and communication: Collaborating with finance teams, vendors, and clients to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational background: Typically a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and process automation tools.
  • Core competencies: Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving, and effective communication.
