QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity with proven leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at delivering presentations and preparing reports.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications; experienced with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of making sound, timely decisions.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Demonstrates resilience under pressure

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Enforces consistent compliance with accounting policies and procedures, ensuring timely updates for efficiency and accuracy.
• Reviews and validates the accuracy of financial records and reports.
• Coordinates the preparation of financial statements, productivity metrics, and sales performance analyses for management review.
• Ensures all accounting activities align with local financial regulations, GAAP standards, and company policies.
• Leads both internal and external audit processes, resolving issues as they arise.
• Oversees the preparation and evaluation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• Directs the completion of tax filings, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and deadlines.
• Manages tax audits and physical inventory counts to maintain full regulatory compliance.
• Oversees accounting team performance, driving process improvements and implementing cost-control initiatives.
• Conducts regular meetings to align objectives and promote a collaborative, team-focused culture.
• Identifies skill gaps and organizes training programs to strengthen team capabilities.
• Ensures departmental adherence to established safety standards and procedures.
• Executes additional assignments and special projects as delegated by the Finance Manager.
