JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the completion of deliverables and adherence to the deadlines by the Accounting Department. The role requires oversight over its direct reports, provides direction and control towards compliance, both in company policies and procedures and government regulatory bodies. The role shall also provide leadership and strategic support to management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the entire billing -to-collection cycle
• Ensure proper revenue recognition alignment with AR
• Monitor AR aging and identify overdue accounts
• Perform AR subledger to GL reconciliation
• Prepare allowance for doubtful accounts analysis and recommend bad debt provisions and write-offs to management
• Support cash flow forecasting related to AR
• Assist in month-end and year-end AR close activities
• Review and approve AR reconciliations and aging analysis
• Analyze collection performance and DSO (aging) trends
• Oversee credit control policy and customer credit limits
• Support audits and regulatory requirements related to AR
• Improve AR processes and automation
• Oversee AP closing, accruals, and reconciliation
• Review large or unusual vendor transactions
• Ensure compliance with tax, withholding, and regulatory rules
• Approve payment runs and cash disbursement controls
• Manage vendor risk and key supplier relationships
• Optimize payment terms and working capital
• Perform oversight function on inventory management
• Review inventory reports, including reconciliations and ascertain validity of reconciling items
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements
• Prepare relevant closing and adjusting entries for approval
• Ensure completeness of relevant source of documents (invoice, receipts, check vouchers, journal vouchers, etc.), including attachments thereto
• Ensure all relevant transactions and entries are posted in the GL
• Prepare the unadjusted trial balance
• Ensure compliance with the company policies and accounting standards
• Escalate unusual or incomplete transactions to immediate superior

Qualifications:

• BS Accountancy graduate or any other related field, preferably a CPA
• Must be detailed oriented
• May have at least 3 years of meaningful experience in the relevant field
