The Corporate Audit Lead is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing internal audit activities to ensure the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with laws and regulations, and effectiveness of internal controls across the organization. The role provides independent and objective assurance to management and the board on risk management, governance, and operational processes.

As a team lead, this role not only conducts audits but also develops audit frameworks, supervises audit staff (if any), and collaborates with stakeholders to drive continuous improvements in business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution

• Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments and organizational priorities.
• Lead and perform financial, operational, and compliance audits across different functions and business units.
• Design audit procedures to test adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare detailed audit working papers, findings, and recommendations.

Reporting & Compliance

• Present audit findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of audit reports.
• Monitor management action plans and follow up on audit recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company policies.

Risk & Control Management

• Assess risks in key operational areas and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses, and propose improvements.
• Support fraud detection and prevention initiatives.

Leadership & Coordination

• Provide guidance and supervision to junior auditors or audit associates.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and other departments for audit-related data.
• Serve as point of contact with external auditors and regulatory examiners.
• Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency, transparency, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, risk management, or internal controls, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/lead capacity.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, risk-based auditing, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP or audit software is an advantage.

• Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
• High integrity, objectivity, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage audit staff.
