Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger updates.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support the Accounting Supervisor in monitoring the workload and performance of the accounting team.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accountants and clerks to build skills and confidence, assign tasks and monitor performance
• Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, and other financial reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend improvements in systems and controls to minimize risks.
• Prepare and support documentation needed for internal and external audits.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, purchasing, HR) to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure deadlines are met smoothly.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us (QUALIFICATIONS):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred but not required
• Minimum 3-5 years proven experience in General Accounting - Account Payables, Receivables and Financial Statement as well as with standards and principles
• At least 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience; supervisory or team lead exposure is a plus.
• Prior experience in construction industry is preferred but not required
• Ability to assist in guiding a team while fostering collaboration
• Strong problem-solving skills in handling financial data.
• Commitment to accuracy, honesty, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
• proactive and flexible in handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Willing to be assigned in Carmona, Cavite
