Position Title: ACCOUNTING MANAGER


Role Purpose:

Lead and manage the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  3. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
  4. Manage the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., Philippine Financial Reporting Standards).
  5. Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into company performance and support decision-making.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
  8. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
  9. Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices relevant to consumer goods companies in the Philippines.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards (PFRS) and tax regulations
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
