Job Summary

The Accounting Head leads and oversees the organization's end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring compliance, financial integrity, and internal control rigor. This role is responsible for driving timely monthly and annual financial closes, managing tax and statutory filings, coordinating internal and external audits, and optimizing internal accounting systems.

As a strategic functional leader, the Accounting Head mentors the accounting team, collaborates closely with executive leadership, and translates financial data into actionable insights to safeguard the organization's financial health.

Job Description

• Direct and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and approve general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and present full financial statements in compliance with GAAP or local regulatory accounting standards.
• Establish, evaluate, and enforce standard operating procedures and internal control frameworks across all financial operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies, local tax laws, and statutory financial regulations.
• Lead risk management efforts by identifying financial operational risks and implementing corrective action plans.
• Oversee corporate tax planning, preparation, and timely filing of local / national tax returns.
• Partner with the Finance team to support annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate performance for the accounting department.
• Standardize workflows to maintain high operational productivity and accuracy.
