Description
We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support our construction projects through accurate cost estimation, budget preparation, tendering, variation order management, and commercial coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, planning, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and well-supported project costs.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications: Graduate of Civil Engineering.
Experience Level: At least 2 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
Skills and Competencies: Proficient in Quantity Surveying software and estimating tools; knowledgeable in quantity take-off, construction cost estimation, Detailed Unit Price Analysis (DUPA), and estimating methods such as unit rate, elemental, and cost-per-unit-of-measurement.
Responsibilities and Duties: Handle tendering and pre-bid activities, review project documents and BOQs, prepare budget proposals, manpower and equipment loading schedules, conduct budget deliberations, manage variation orders, and handle post-tender revisions and commercial clarifications.
Qualities and Traits: Strong mathematical and analytical skills, detail-oriented, organized, accurate, proactive, and capable of communicating and coordinating effectively with technical, planning, procurement, commercial teams, and clients. Familiarity with Lump Sum, Cost-Plus, and Design-Build contracts is an advantage.
