Introduction
History In the year 2004, a meeting was held among dedicated parents and wise prior of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. It was a meeting that would give rise to the founding of Our Lady of Victories Catholic School of Quezon City. This school was founded in the purpose of providing the children with a solid traditional Catholic education… With such an important mission, it was entrusted to the care of Our Lady. It was decided that the school would be named Our Lady of Victories Catholic School of Quezon City and would be located at the basement of Our Lady of Victories Church. Before long, the parish was looking for new space to accommodate its quickly growing population. Providentially, our neighbor was selling a property with existing buildings which suited fine for a small developing school. The parishioners became actively involved in the workings of the school, and were determined to make OLVCS a success for Our Lady and for the Philippines! Vision and Mission Our Lady of Victories Catholic School of Quezon City serves children in Nursery through Twelfth Grade (6th grade for girls) by fostering their spiritual, intellectual, moral, social, emotional, and physical development. Through a cooperative partnership with the parents of the children, our dedicated faculty provides a high-quality Catholic Education with an emphasis on faith formation, service to others and academic excellence. As a multicultural school, OLVCS embraces students from an ethnically diverse population. As a Traditional Roman Catholic school, we provide an atmosphere in which every student can obtain an outstanding school education in a safe and structured, yet loving environment with a focus on Our Lord and Our Lady. VISION STATEMENT: An excellent instrument in the restoration of all things in Christ, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, by the formation of Catholic leaders for a Catholic Philippines. Our Lady of Victories Catholic School of Quezon City strives hard for academic achievement. Good examination results and good manners are not the way that we measure our success. We wish much more for our pupils, in line with their parents' wishes. We measure our success from the standpoint of the soul's relationship with God. If our pupils continue in the practice of their Faith and in the service of their neighbor, the school will have achieved its goal. MISSION STATEMENT: Truly and deeply consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, the school providentially receives its students in the spirit of family to guard, guide and assist them in the advancement of virtue, wisdom and loyal service to God, neighbor and nation. “Why Traditional Catholic Education? A Message From The School Principal.” Every school day at Our Lady of Victories Catholic School begins with daily Mass -- students and teachers gather in the church and worship Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Traditional Catholic education orients itself toward Our Lord as the Source of all wisdom and the Greatest Teacher. Traditional Catholic teachers always remember that the true vocation of each child is not college or a career, but Heaven. We understand that the great danger children face in today's world is confusion. Intellectual confusion from media that presents falsehoods as truth. Spiritual confusion from the watering down of traditional Catholic doctrine and liturgy. And moral confusion from a growing culture of "tolerance" that is mere relativism in disguise. Without proper guidance and training, a modern child may never learn to discern truth from lies, devotion from emotion, and right from wrong. In direct opposition to this danger, Our Lady of Victories Catholic School offers clarity. Intellectual clarity grounded in reason, spiritual clarity grounded in traditional worship, and moral clarity grounded in the theological and moral virtues. Our Lady of Victories Catholic School nurtures both natural virtue and the supernatural life. With an emphasis on liberal studies, students develop intellectual rigor and to enter more deeply into their Traditional Catholic heritage. They learn to sing as a choir and to play a musical instrument, both to nurture their appreciation of culture and beauty and to enhance liturgy and traditional devotions with well-performed sacred music. All of these in mind to bring the souls of the children closer to their Heavenly Father. As principal, I invite you to explore our website, to stop in, and to talk to parents of current students. In Christ, Fr. P. Fortin
