Nagatsu Precision Mold is a leader in the world of high-precision plastic mold manufacture with a long history and illustrious record of performance. The molds produced by Nagatsu support the mass-production of many products that help to make life in general more affluent. Behind these molds is the passion of our workforce whose lone desire is to make a better mold. The design department is the interface that links the customer to manufacturing. In order to quickly and accurately materialize the products envisioned by the customer, highly skilled engineers push the latest in 3D CAD/CAM system to the limit. They adopt Moldflow (MPI for detailed analysis) for flow analyses and use sophisticated applications and vast databases to create better designs. Nagatsu uses high-end machine tools to deliver processing accuracy on the submicron level. Furthermore, an efficient process flow made possible by close communications between manufacturing departments and design departments has boosted work speed at the same time, so that Nagatsu can deliver both "precision" and "speed", true trademarks of a precision mold manufacturer. We brought in high performance measuring equipment to test machining precision on the submicron level. This equipment is helping us to ensure mold accuracy and quality. We also have four molding machines of respectively 50tf, 75tf, 100 tf and 150 tf mold clamping forces at our headquarters plant for test shots. Speedy test shots let us shorten the time to production launch. Under the Strategic Infrastructure Program of the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan, we are developing nano-level molds at the Kawasaki Business Incubation Center. We are making nano-level super-precision molds for hologram devices, etc.
